Science Magician Jeff Evans performs for students and their families at Everett Christian School’s Science Fair
Two years ago I presented my Science Magic show as part of Everett Christian School‘s Science Fair. It was a hit, and they invited me back. One of my favorite parts of Science Fairs is seeing the exhibits. Students need to come up with a question to answer or problem to solve and create a hypothesis/best educated guess for what they expect to find. Some are fascinating with unexpected results.
- There was no live fire demonstration of the catapult on this night…
- The science behind the hovercraft
- Parents mingle and explore the various student projects
- Ready, aim, fire! Very solidly-built catapult
- The 12th Man very much in the house at the Everett Christian School
- The student who built this gave free rides in the parking lot. (I missed the excitement.)
- Kindergarten and 1st graders created models of planets
- What is the ideal number of propellers for maximum power in an airplane/fan/etc.?
- How many fins are required for accurate rocket flight?
- How does the surface affect the speed that a rover travels?
- Principal Mr. Kamps discusses the Science Fair and introduces Jeff Evans
- Let’s hope this young man isn’t running for public office any time soon 🙂
