Laser Childcare operates at three schools in the University District area of Seattle. Their three sites include Laurelhurst, Bryant, and Sand Point Elementary schools and are for kids in K-6th grades. They celebrated their 30th year anniversary with a huge party for their students, families, and the community last weekend.
Staff prepared a video slideshow that was projected onto a screen with photos from all three schools. More photos were mounted on sticks and placed in vases like flowers on each table as centerpieces. A balloon artist created hats and jetpacks for kids and the Reptile Man shared incredible creatures from an alligator to a rattlesnake. There were boardgames, craft stations, and crayons on each table so kids could draw on the paper “table cloths”.
But wait – there’s more! Choice Catering barbecued huge hot dogs and hamburger sliders with all of the trimmings. There were raffle drawings every fifteen minutes for Laser hats and shirts, presentations, and face painting. Oh, and a magician performed 🙂
