Washington State PTA Convention

Thompson Elementary of the Spanaway/Parkland area has been hugely successful with their World’s Finest Chocolate fundraisers each year. Way to go, ladies!

No need to go to the Caribbean for a steel drum party! Ian Dobson and “band” get their groove on. Ian is an alumni of the Washington School Assembly Showcase.

The Washington State PTA convention was held last weekend at the classy Bellevue Hyatt Hotel.  EduMazement Productions and several dozen other vendors were on hand to meet new and old clients.  I’ve been participating since about 1998 and am always amazed when I see familiar faces of PTA moms (most are ladies) who I’ve known since their oldest kids were in elementary school.  Now their youngest kids are in high school.  Some of these women have risen to take leadership roles in their regional PTA organizations, and others return when their grandkids are in elementary school.  Awesome!

Nice meeting the Fawcett Elementary PTA! I’m visiting their school in two weeks as part of a reward Family Night Magic Show for students who met their World’s Finest Chocolate sales goal.

Whether you’re a PTA/PTO leader, a teacher, school administrator, librarian, recreation professional, or produce a festival or event for kids and families in western Washington, the best resource is the Washington School Assembly Showcase.  Several of the exhibitors who have participated in the Showcase one or several years include
