Parents and students explore science fair projects. It’s always interesting seeing the creativity of students!
Esquire Hills Elementary in Bremerton, Washington invited me to present my Science Magic show as part of their Science Fair last night. I always enjoy being able to see the hypotheses they test in their experiments. There are always a few of the oldies-but-goodies (exploding volcano), but there are some really unique questions and premises that make you wonder, “How did they think of that?”
- Electricity from a potato? I’ve known this for years, and it still boggles my mind.
- What happens when ingredients like sugar, sand, or coffee grinds are added to a mixture of oil and water?
- A future engineer in the making? This was an advanced project, very impressive.
- The student – who built this herself – did a fantastic job creating her 3D model house.
